Non Profit Organization
Introduction
Task 1
Research Problem
Non Profit Organization
The non profit making company only exists to provide the programs and the services which are of public advantage. Often these programs and services are not differently provided by people of the country, the state, or the federal entities. While they can gain a benefit, called a surplus more exactly; such incomes must be maintained by the organization for its future supply of programs and services. The incomes can not profit from the individuals or the agents. Fundamental much of effective non profit making efforts is an engagement with management. Twenty years ago, the term "management" was unpleasant to many of those implied in non profit organizations because of its connotations of the "business." Not profit prided itself on being free from traces of commercial mercenary attitude and abnormal consideration of the lower result. Maintaining a consensus developed in the non profit making sector that management of the need for nonprofits as much as for profit from the companies. The nonprofits, are naturally always devoted "to make good." But they also realize that the good intentions are not any product of replacement for the organization and control, the responsibility, the execution, and results. Those require management and that, alternatively, starts with the mission of the organization.
Problems of Non Profit organization
Also Non profit organization must have many problems like the other organization. Among of these problems are concerned with the fundraising cases. Lack of management control on funds or the differences between income and expenditure, the fundraising problems occur.
Fundraising can be a full time work (or a full time obsession) for the non profit making executive directors. Executive directors are defied to balance their time between raising the money and the managem1ent of program. So too much hour passed on fundraising, the programs and the personnel can not obtain the direction and the drive they need. In addition, if fundraising takes a back seat with the management of program, the cash flow of the financing of the organization will suffer.
Two factors will increase efforts fundraising. One is good programs. The programs which satisfy the significant needs for the community and show results will sell. A panel which is invested in its responsibilities fundraising will be also capital with the organization. The members of the council who take their role in fundraising very seriously will support the organization and will help to bring resources to it.
Another Problem is these non profit organization currently use the manually so the records may be made mistakes, the information may not be available while needed. There will become many disturbs in the work because of these records. And also cannot get the real information. The important information cannot be searched in immediately while needed because It will need to search and check the paper based information. If there is no network in organization, the process of transferring information from one place to another may be delayed.
Each one apart from the non profit making sector observes. First of all, to run a successful organization (providing the service of quality which achieves the mission of the organization) is not enough. The majority of the non profit making directors run of the second businesses rising of the money to support the first. Both are complex and very long activities, particularly when the director wears all the hats of management. In the second place, to develop networks or to seek joint ventures in participation is long, expensive and risky.
Problem Solution of Non Profit Organization
So, to solve these problems of manually occurs, the whole system will need to change to the form of computerized processes. It can minimize the problem of record errors, can get the required information more easily, the information is more reliable, time consuming, no need to use the paper based as manually so reduce the cost so that it can get many advantages. If the system will connect network between computers, it can get the information from one place to another without going on to that place. But there is some problems for converting to computerized form. The staffs on this organization are always use the manual paper based processes and now converting the system to computerized form may be problem for them. So before to change the computerized form, arrange to give computer training for these staffs. As like that it may be convenience.
As this organization is about Non profit organization so the process of using the software must be free or low cost as open source software which can be downloaded by internet. The NOP needs the software like as PowerPoint, excel and word document. Also window software can be used by internet such as Linux. Should training to the staff that concerned with their activities and gradually convert the system to computerized form. These changes must be made during three months by director of NOP organization. In the organization, use 10 computers connecting with network. And have a color laser printer for printing the documents purpose. For this NOP organization, create a website, including database, from Server. This website should be dynamic page so it can display information as time by time.
Project Triangle
Like any human company, projects must be carried out and provided under certain constraints. Traditionally, these constraints were enumerated as "a scope," "time," and "cost". Those are also mentioned while "the triangle of project management" where each side represents a constraint. A side of the triangle cannot be changed without affecting the others. Another improvement of the constraints separates the product "quality" or "execution" from the range, and transforms quality into fourth constraint.
The project Triangle
The time constraint refers to the quantity of hour available to achieve a project. The constraint of cost refers to the quantity saved available for the project. The constraint of range refers to what must be made to produce the result of end of the project. These three constraints are often constraints of competition: the increased range typically means increased time and the increased cost, a tight constraint of time could mean increased costs and the reduced range, and a tight budget could mean increased time and the reduced range.
The discipline of the project management is about providing the tools and the techniques which make it possible to the team of project (not simply the head of project) to organize their work to meet these constraints.
